MY STORY:

I am Shaunna Newton, owner of SMN art|decor, and a Midwest inspired nature and landscape artist. I am a Minnesota native currently living in Wisconsin. I have a background in art, horticulture, environmental studies, and landscape architecture. My background and outdoor hobbies are a significant part of my work and process.

The love of art came at a young age. Some of my best memories are painting at a family lake cabin in Minnesota. I was most inspired by my late uncle's work. In effort to carry on his legacy I began learning many skills and techniques. I experimented with everything art and became fascinated with process and materiality. It was after grad school that I truly recognized myself as an artist. I aspire to make every customer feel special.
